How to read this hub · sources and methodology

Prices are FPL purchase prices in £millions, not transfer-market valuations. Next-gameweek forecasts are the official FPL ep_next estimates; these are separate from Kickoff Edge’s match-outcome predictions. Captain options and transfer tips combine the official forecast with player xG/xA per 90, season minutes share, recent form and opponent xG. Available players need at least 180 season minutes and an assigned next-gameweek fixture. Opponent venue xG requires three records; otherwise overall xG or FPL difficulty is used. Opportunity is capped at 0.65–1.5 times baseline; position scoring weights distinguish attacking and defensive routes. The rank is not displayed as projected points. Value still divides the official forecast by price; differentials use matchup rank and ownership below 10%. These rules are not a trained fantasy-points model.

Form is the FPL recent-form figure. xG is expected goals, xA expected assists and xGI their combined contribution; per-90 rates can exaggerate small samples, so always check minutes and starts. FPL availability, news and set-piece order are source reports, not confirmed lineups. A missing chance figure means unknown, not 100%. Fixture difficulty uses the official FPL 1–5 scale.

Fantasy data comes from official Fantasy Premier League, refreshed approximately every 15 minutes. Team context uses our stored API-Football xG data. This is an independent research tool, not an official Premier League product. Read the current FPL rules ↗
